This week sees the feast day of St Suidbertus as patron of the basilica.
In honour of this event there will be a triduum followed by a patronal Mass on Sunday complete with procession which I shall miss because I will be in Paris this weekend visiting friends. Oh well, at least I shall get to the Thursday (Donnerstag) Night Feast Day extravaganza complete with choir, organ, trumpets and all. I shall take my camera as well - just in case I can be an ace reporter and provide some photos for my blog . . .
